Shattered Photos are digitally manipulated photographs. Those photos are taken in my garden and wherever I travel. Most of my kaleidoscoped photos start out as botanicals, but by no means all.

There is a great deal of beauty in ordinary things (even spiders!). But when that “ordinary thing” is abstracted, it can become something out of the ordinary. I find the abstracted patterning of the kaleidoscopic images fascinating and comforting. Fascinating in how the smallest pieces, when repeated, produce such beautiful patterns, and comforting and even mesmerizing in their regularity.
